Vermiculite produced by the Libby Mine in Montana from the 1920s-1990 and sold as Zonolite® Attic Insulation may contain amphibole asbestos, and potential exposures may occur in homes where Zonolite® insulation is disturbed. The primary goal of the research described hereZonolite is the brand name of Libby Vermiculite sold by the Zonolite Company and later by W. Grace. A range of tasks selected for evaluation included cleaning, working around, moving, and removal of ZAI in attics and living spaces.
